AMERICA'S PREMIER UKULELE BAND
THE DANCING FLEAS!

When I heard the Dancing Fleas had seven ukuleles I was simultaneously curious and reticent.  Who could the audience for such an ensemble be?  My curiosity won out and I booked the band.  What a pleasant surprise to find that the Fleas have a real and diverse audience demographically.  We had a great house and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the show...not in spite of the ukes but, in part, because of them.  I certainly recommend The Dancing Fleas.  I didn't even itch after the show!

Bob Hinkle, owner, White Horse Black Mountain

Sometimes the only thing standing between you and a good time are your own reservations. These are the times when the jaded music critic in you should just let your hair down, get up out of your seat and shake your groove thing. These are the times for The Dancing Fleas to liberate your inner geek and let you remember what it was like to not be so dang self conscious about what people might think. Music fans often use the term "guilty pleasure" to refer to music that they keep to themselves even though it makes them smile. The Dancing Fleas are here to relieve you of this guilt. Go ahead, lay that burden down, brothers and sisters. Jump up out of that pew and come down front where we all can shout and sing!

But here's the other thing: The Fleas are actually very good. Like, tasty licks. Original songs that are instantly memorable. And an unlimited supply of that joyous, nerdy charisma. If you don't believe me, just drop in on their set and you will understand. No reservations necessary.

Joe Kendrick, WNCW

When the Dancing Fleas are on stage, it can only be described as a true party! This ukulele-driven band gives ukelele music a new name as they play a variety of songs that make the crowd want to take to their feet or sing and clap along. This is a band of entertainers that promotes audience interaction and they give a show you don't want to miss! We have enjoyed having them play our live music venue numerous times and it is always a fun-filled evening!

“The Dancing Fleas are crowd pleasers! I always smile when I book this band because I know it’s a good time for everyone- all ages, all types. A staff and crowd favorite: I need an infestation from the Fleas!”

Spencer Jones, Oskar Blues Brewing

THE DANCING FLEAS

The Dancing Fleas, aka America’s Premier Ukulele Party Band, are a ten piece combo, heavy on the ukes but light on the attitude. Their uplifting originals and covers have been known to make even the most jaded hipsters smile unselfconsciously. The Fleas bring their high energy, big fun approach to a genre-bending set of tunes with styles ranging from classic country to sassy funky. Expect dueling ukuleles, blistering pedal steel licks, and big harmonies from the band’s six vocalists. Once you’ve seen them live, you’ll join the ranks of the #fleabitten!
